Ingredients

  • 450 g Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp Light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger paste or grated ginger
  • 4 tbsp Honey
  • 0.25 tsp Chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 Green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce and cornstarch. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for no longer than 30 seconds.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, depending on size.
  • Pour in honey and chili flakes (if using). Toss to coat shrimp, then remove from heat.
  • Sprinkle with sliced green onions and serve over rice or as a starter.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp for 10 minutes before cooking. Adjust spice level by increasing or omitting chili flakes.
