Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or fork
  • Slotted spoon or tongs
  • Cutting Board
  • Chef’s knife

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans trimmed and cut in half
  • 2 T soy sauce (use gluten-free if needed)
  • 3 tsp peanut oil
  • 2 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  • Trim the stem ends from the green beans, then cut each bean in half crosswise.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, peanut oil, and sesame oil until combined.
  • Add the prepared green beans to the bowl and toss thoroughly so each bean is evenly coated with the sauce.
  • Using a slotted spoon or tongs, transfer the beans to the air fryer basket, leaving excess sauce in the bowl.
  • If your air fryer requires preheating, preheat to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cook the beans at 400°F (200°C) for about 10–12 minutes, checking at 8 minutes; cook until they are crisp-tender and just beginning to brown.
  • Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use regular green beans, not thin French-style, unless you reduce cooking time.
  • Check early as air fryer models vary.
  • Leave excess sauce behind to avoid soggy beans.
