Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cooking spray

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds chicken wings halved at joints, wing tips discarded
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder aluminum free
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup Frank's Wings Hot Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

Prepare the Wings

  • Begin by washing the chicken wings under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels. This is crucial for achieving a crispy skin.

Season the Wings

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Add the chicken wings and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.

Preheat the Air Fryer

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes. This step helps to ensure that the wings cook evenly and get that nice crispy texture.

Cook the Wings

  • Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure not to overcrowd them; you may need to cook in batches. Air fry the wings for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure they cook evenly.

Prepare the Sauce

  • While the wings are cooking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine Frank's Wings Hot Sauce, light brown sugar, and water. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the sauce is heated through. Remove from heat.

Toss the Wings in Sauce

  • Once the wings are cooked and crispy, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the hot sauce mixture over the wings and toss until they're well coated.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve the wings hot, with your favorite dipping sauces and sides. Enjoy the crispy, spicy goodness of your homemade Air Fryer Chicken Wings!

  • Pat wings dry thoroughly to ensure extra crispy skin.

  • Preheat the air fryer to get the best crispy texture.
  • Flip wings halfway through cooking for even crispiness.
  • Store cooked wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
