2cod fillets (6 ounces each)about 1 to 1½ inches thick
1tablespoonolive oil
2teaspoonsCajun seasoning
saltto taste (recipe uses ½ teaspoon in seasoning blend)
freshly ground black pepperto taste (recipe uses ¼ teaspoon in seasoning blend)
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix the Cajun seasoning with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
Drizzle the fillets with the olive oil and rub to coat, then sprinkle the seasoning blend evenly over all sides.
Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the fillets in a single layer with space between them for air circulation.
Air fry the fillets at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches 145°F internally.
Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
Substitute halibut or haddock for the cod, using similar-size fillets for even cooking.
Thaw frozen cod overnight in the refrigerator before cooking.
To thaw quickly, place sealed fish under cool running water for 20–30 minutes.
Swap the Cajun seasoning for Old Bay or lemon pepper if desired.
