Air Fryer Mac And Cheese Balls (Premade OR Frozen)

Crispy air-fried mac and cheese balls cooked from fresh premade or frozen, served with warmed pizza sauce and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

  • 16 ozmac and cheese ballsfrozen or fresh premade
  • 1 cuppizza saucewarmed
  • 1 tspfresh chopped parsleyoptional

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  • Place the 16 oz mac and cheese balls (fresh premade or frozen) in a single flat layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping. If they won’t fit in one layer, cook in batches.
  • Air fry for 6 minutes.
  • Carefully shake the basket or use tongs/spatula to turn/flip the mac and cheese balls so they move around and brown evenly.
  • Return to the air fryer and continue cooking until browned and starting to burst: cook an additional 6–10 minutes if using fresh premade (or reheating), or an additional 12–15 minutes if cooking from frozen. Times are approximate—look for golden brown color and slight bursting.
  • While the balls finish cooking or after removing them, warm the 1 cup pizza sauce until heated through (microwave or stovetop).
  • Remove the mac and cheese balls from the air fryer and let them cool slightly.
  • Serve the cooled mac and cheese balls with the warmed pizza sauce and a sprinkle of 1 tsp fresh chopped parsley (optional).
