  • 16 ounces frozen tater tots
  • cooking spray or oil a light mist
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • dipping sauces optional, such as ketchup, ranch dressing, or spicy aioli

Instructions

Air-Fryer Tater Tots

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
  • Take 16 ounces of frozen tater tots directly from the freezer. No need to thaw.
  • Lightly coat the tater tots with cooking spray or a drizzle of oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Optionally, add garlic powder, paprika, or your favorite seasoning blend.
  • Place the seasoned tater tots in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding for even cooking.
  • Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even cooking.
  • After 12 minutes, check that the tater tots are golden brown and crispy. If needed, air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, checking frequently to avoid burning.
  • Carefully remove the tater tots from the air fryer. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces and enjoy!

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure the tater tots get crispy.
  • Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the air fryer at 400°F for 4-5 minutes.
