Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Pastry Brush

Ingredients

  • 4 White Fish Fillets thawed (cod, tilapia, or haddock)
  • 0.25 cup Melted Butter
  • 0.33 cup Almond Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese finely grated
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Szeged Fish Rub optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even cooking and a crispy crust.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for a non-stick surface and easy cleanup.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, pepper, and Szeged fish rub (if using). Stir until well mixed and set aside.
  • Place the thawed fish fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • Using a pastry brush, generously coat each fish fillet with the melted butter to help the crust adhere and brown.
  • Spoon the almond and Parmesan mixture over each fillet, pressing gently to ensure it sticks evenly.
  • Bake the fish in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until cooked through and the crust is golden brown. The fish should flake easily with a fork.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, then serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate fish fillets in lemon juice and herbs for 30 minutes before preparing.
  • Try different fish varieties like salmon for a tasty twist.
  • Add cayenne pepper to the crust mixture for a spicy kick.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
