  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 ¼ cups almond flour
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup finely chopped almonds optional
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Step 3: Add the vanilla extract and almond extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Step 4: In another bowl, whisk together the almond flour and all-purpose flour. If using, mix in the finely chopped almonds.
  • Step 5: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing on low speed until a dough forms.
  • Step 6: Take a small amount of dough, roll it into a ball, and shape it into a crescent. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Step 7: Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden on the bottoms.
  • Step 8: Once cooled, roll the cookies in powdered sugar for a snowy finish.

Notes

Make sure your butter is at room temperature for easy mixing. For a stronger almond flavor, increase the almond extract slightly.
