- 2 cups ground almonds / almond meal 250g
- 2 large eggs
- 5 tablespoons melted butter 70g
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt optional
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your biscuits will bake evenly and rise perfectly.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will prevent the biscuits from sticking and make for easy cleanup.
In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until well incorporated.
In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and melted butter until fully combined.
Pour the wet mixture into the bowl containing the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spatula until a dough forms. Be careful not to overmix; you want to keep the biscuits light and fluffy.
Using your hands or a spoon, form the dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball) and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten them slightly to form biscuit shapes.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the biscuits are cooked through.
Once baked, remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm with your favorite toppings!
- Do not overmix the dough to keep biscuits light and fluffy.
- Use a kitchen scale for accurate measurement of almond flour.
- Allow biscuits to cool slightly before serving for the best texture.
- Substitute melted butter with coconut or neutral oil for a different flavor.
- Add herbs or cheese to the dough for a savory twist.
