Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Step 2: Place the scrubbed and dried Russet potatoes on a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over each potato and sprinkle with kosher salt.
Step 3: Bake the potatoes in the oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, until easily pierced with a fork.
Step 4: While the potatoes are baking, prepare your toppings in bowls for guests to customize their potatoes.
Step 5: Once baked, let the potatoes cool for a few minutes, cut a slit in the top, fluff the insides, and add a tablespoon of butter.
Notes
Choose potatoes of similar size for even cooking. Don't skip the oil and salt for crispy skin.
