Cutting Board
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp sea salt or to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder or to taste
- 1 tsp black pepper or to taste
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp dill relish
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard or your favorite kind
- 4 cups washed and chopped Romaine lettuce
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup sliced pickles
- 1 cup shredded or cubed cheddar or your favorite cheese
- 1 cup thinly sliced red onion
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Season it with sea salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat and set it aside to cool slightly.
In a mixing bowl, combine the mayo, ketchup, dill relish, and Dijon mustard. Whisk until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste if necessary.
While the beef is cooling, wash and chop the Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and red onion. Set them aside in a large salad bowl.
Add the cooked ground beef to the salad bowl with the chopped veggies. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top.
Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss everything together gently until well coated.
Serve your Big Mac Salad immediately, garnished with extra pickles or cheese if desired.
- For a leaner option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
- Use Greek yogurt instead of mayo for a lighter dressing.
- Prepare ground beef and dressing ahead to meal prep for the week.
- Store cooked beef in the refrigerator up to three days; avoid freezing the salad.
- Add avocado or dairy-free cheese alternatives for variations.
