Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • cup milk Use room temperature for best results.
  • 1 large egg At room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Grease an 8-inch square or round cake pan with a bit of oil or cooking spray.
  • Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick baking mix and granulated sugar.
  • Step 4: Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, and add the milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Step 5: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Step 6: Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Step 7: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for about a week. For longer storage, freeze individual slices wrapped in plastic wrap.
