Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 ounces dried pasta any small shape

Vegetables

  • 1 heart romaine chopped or 6 cups chopped lettuce
  • 8 ounces cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 whole avocado peeled and diced
  • ½ cup crispy turkey bacon chopped, about a half pound of turkey bacon
  • ½ cup green onions sliced
  • 1 cup ranch dressing homemade or store-bought

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cook the Pasta. Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the dried pasta to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Once it’s ready, drain the pasta and rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Ingredients. While your pasta is cooking, chop the romaine heart or lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Halve the cherry tomatoes and dice the avocado. Chop your crispy turkey bacon into small pieces.
  • Step 3: Combine Everything. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, chopped lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, diced avocado, and crispy turkey bacon. Toss them gently together to mix.
  • Step 4: Add the Ranch Dressing. Pour the ranch dressing over the pasta salad mixture. Using a large spoon, gently toss everything together until all the ingredients are well coated with the creamy dressing.
  • Step 5: Add Green Onions. Sprinkle the sliced green onions over the top of the salad and give it one last gentle toss.
  • Step 6: Serve and Enjoy! Your BLT Pasta Salad is now ready to be served! You can enjoy it immediately, or cover it and let it chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

Notes

For added flavor, consider toasting the turkey bacon bits in a skillet for a few minutes before adding them to the salad. If making ahead of time, wait to add the avocado until just before serving to prevent browning.
