Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Electric mixer or whisk
  • Spatula
  • Storage container

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • pinch salt omit if using salted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients and tools. This will make the process smooth and enjoyable.
  • In your mixing bowl, add 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter. Using your electric mixer or a whisk, beat the butter until it’s creamy and smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually mix in 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Continue to beat until the mixture is well combined, and the sugar is incorporated into the butter.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and a pinch of salt to the mixture. Beat again until everything is evenly mixed and the butter is fluffy and aromatic.
  • Give your butter a little taste! Adjust the brown sugar or cinnamon if you want it sweeter or spicier.
  • Using a spatula, transfer your Brown Sugar Cinnamon Butter into your storage container. Smooth out the top for a nice finish.

Notes

  • Use fresh ground cinnamon for the best flavor.
  • Try adding nutmeg or vanilla extract for a unique twist.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • If hardened in the fridge, let it sit at room temperature before spreading.
  • Vegan butter substitutes work well for a dairy-free version.
