  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil for moisture and richness

  • 1/4 cup sprinkles or nonpareils for color and fun

Baking Cake Mix Cookies

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix and baking powder. Whisk them together until well combined.
  • Add the lightly beaten eggs, vegetable oil, and pure vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix with a whisk or an electric mixer until the dough is smooth and fully combined.
  • Gently fold in the sprinkles or nonpareils until they are evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
  • Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Leave space between each cookie as they will spread while baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look soft but will firm up as they cool.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!

Notes

  • Try chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking to prevent excessive spreading.
