Equipment

  • Cast-Iron Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded Muenster cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 lb ball pizza dough
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Let the pizza dough sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to make it easier to stretch and shape.
  • Generously coat your cast iron skillet with vegetable oil to help create a crispy crust.
  • Place the pizza dough into the skillet and gently stretch it to fit the shape of the pan, covering the bottom and slightly up the sides.
  • Sprinkle shredded Muenster cheese evenly over the dough, then add shredded mozzarella cheese on top, covering the dough completely.
  • Arrange pepperoni slices on top of the cheese as desired.
  • Spoon the pizza sauce over the pepperoni, either spreading it evenly or drizzling in stripes.
  • Bake the skillet in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden and the crust is crispy.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 minutes to allow the cheese to set. Use a spatula to release the edges, then cut into squares for serving.

Notes

  • Preheat the skillet in the oven before adding dough for extra crispy crust.
  • Experiment with different cheese blends to tailor the flavor to your liking.
  • Let the dough rise longer for a fluffier pizza base.
  • Use homemade pizza sauce for richer taste.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in a skillet or oven.
