- 2 cups shredded Muenster cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 lb ball pizza dough
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- pepperoni slices
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Let the pizza dough sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to make it easier to stretch and shape.
Generously coat your cast iron skillet with vegetable oil to help create a crispy crust.
Place the pizza dough into the skillet and gently stretch it to fit the shape of the pan, covering the bottom and slightly up the sides.
Sprinkle shredded Muenster cheese evenly over the dough, then add shredded mozzarella cheese on top, covering the dough completely.
Arrange pepperoni slices on top of the cheese as desired.
Spoon the pizza sauce over the pepperoni, either spreading it evenly or drizzling in stripes.
Bake the skillet in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden and the crust is crispy.
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 minutes to allow the cheese to set. Use a spatula to release the edges, then cut into squares for serving.
- Preheat the skillet in the oven before adding dough for extra crispy crust.
- Experiment with different cheese blends to tailor the flavor to your liking.
- Let the dough rise longer for a fluffier pizza base.
- Use homemade pizza sauce for richer taste.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in a skillet or oven.
