Cheese Ball Recipe Cooking Guide
In a large mixing bowl, combine the room temperature cream cheese, shredded white sharp cheddar cheese, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, sliced green onions, and hot sauce. Use a hand mixer on low speed or mix by hand until everything is well combined and creamy.
Once the mixture is smooth, use a spatula to transfer it onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Gather the corners of the wrap and shape the cheese mixture into a ball. Twist the wrap to secure it tightly and place the cheese ball in the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
After the cheese ball has chilled, remove it from the refrigerator. Carefully unwrap it and roll the cheese ball in the finely chopped pecans until it is fully coated.
Place the cheese ball on a serving platter and serve it with your choice of crackers, cut-up vegetables, or baguette slices. Enjoy!
- Make the cheese ball at least 2 hours ahead for best texture.
- Substitute pecans with walnuts, almonds, or sunflower seeds if desired.
- Store wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
