Cheesecake Waffles Cooking Guide

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix with the recommended amount of water or milk as per the package instructions. Stir until just combined; a few lumps are perfectly fine.
  • In another bowl, whisk together 4 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1/3 cup of heavy whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no lumps.
  • Turn on your waffle iron to preheat it according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Once the waffle iron is hot, pour an appropriate amount of the waffle batter onto the center of the iron. Use a spatula to spread a thin layer of the cheesecake filling over the batter before closing the lid. Cook according to your waffle iron’s settings, usually about 4-5 minutes, until the waffles are golden brown and crisp.
  • Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and serve them warm. Top with your choice of fresh fruit and a generous drizzle of maple syrup. Enjoy your homemade Cheesecake Waffles while they’re still warm!

Notes

  • Make sure to grease your waffle iron well to prevent waffles from sticking.
  • Spread the cheesecake filling thinly to avoid overflow while cooking.
  • Reheat leftover waffles in a toaster or oven for best texture.
  • Customize toppings seasonally with fresh fruits or whipped cream.
  • For extra crispy waffles, preheat the waffle iron properly and consider adding cornstarch to the batter.
