Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter softened
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ cup white chocolate chunks
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup dried tart cherries

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  • Cream together the softened butter and dark brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, stirring until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  • Swap pecans with walnuts, almonds, or sunflower seeds for variety or allergies.
  • Try seasonal variations like dried cranberries in winter or fresh berries in summer for a fresh twist.
