  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • 9x13 inch Baking Dish
  • Wooden Spoon or Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Oven mitts

Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken breast
  • 1 cup turkey bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

Cooking Chicken Bacon Ranch Penne Bake: The Process

  • Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.
  • If you don’t have cooked chicken breast ready, poach or bake chicken breasts until fully cooked, then shred them using two forks. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp, then crumble into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked penne, shredded chicken, crumbled turkey bacon, ranch dressing, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until the pasta is evenly coated and the ingredients are well distributed.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Bake uncovered for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden on top.
  • Once baked, remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the chopped green onions on top for a fresh burst of flavor and color. Serve warm and enjoy the creamy, cheesy goodness of this Chicken Bacon Ranch Penne Bake.

Notes

  • Cook penne pasta just until al dente to avoid mushy texture after baking.
  • Use leftover chicken or freshly cooked chicken for convenience and flavor.
  • Leftovers store well refrigerated for 3-4 days and can be frozen for longer storage.
