Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Electric Mixer
  • Hand Mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula
  • Serving Dish

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup Butter softened
  • 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
  • Wafer Cookies for serving

Instructions

  • Start by letting your cream cheese and butter sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to soften.
  • In your mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat them together until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar and brown sugar to the bowl. Continue mixing on low speed to avoid a sugar cloud. Once incorporated, pour in the vanilla extract and mix again until silky smooth.
  • Using a spatula, gently fold the mini chocolate chips into the creamy mixture to distribute evenly.
  • Transfer your dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up and meld flavors.
  • Serve chilled with wafer cookies or your favorite dippers and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure both cream cheese and butter are fully softened to avoid lumps.
  • Use reduced-fat cream cheese and butter for a lighter dip, though texture will be less rich.
  • Mini chocolate chips distribute better than regular size for texture.
  • Try different dippers like pretzels, apple slices, or graham crackers for variety.
  • Store dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
