Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Total Time 10 minutes mins
- 1 cup roughly chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lime juice fresh
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon honey (use agave syrup for vegan option)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Gather all ingredients and wash and roughly chop fresh cilantro to make blending easier.
In your blender or food processor, combine the chopped cilantro, extra virgin olive oil, lime juice, garlic, honey, and salt.
Blend the mixture on medium speed until smooth. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well combined.
Taste your sauce and adjust sweetness with more honey or agave, and acidity with more lime juice if desired.
Transfer the cilantro sauce to a storage container and seal tightly to maintain freshness.
- For a vegan version, substitute honey with agave syrup.
- If sauce is too thick, add more olive oil or water to reach desired consistency.
- To make it spicy, add jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze in ice cube trays for up to 3 months.
