  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients

  • 4 (10-inch) tortillas choose flour or corn
  • olive oil spray to lightly spray
  • 1/4 cup sugar regular granulated
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon freshly ground preferred

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for crispy, golden-brown tortilla chips.
  • Cut the tortillas into 8 equal wedges using a sharp knife or pizza cutter; stacking tortillas can speed this up.
  • Lay the tortilla wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet and lightly spray with olive oil.
  • Combine sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl, mixing well to distribute cinnamon evenly.
  • Generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the tortilla wedges, coating them well.
  • Bake the chips for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crisp, watching closely to prevent burning.
  • Remove from oven and let the chips cool on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

  • Watch carefully near the end of baking to avoid burning the chips.
  • For thorough coating, toss tortilla wedges in the cinnamon sugar mixture in a bowl before baking.
  • Store cooled chips in an airtight container and recrisp in the oven if they soften.
