Make Creamy Bacon Alfredo Pasta Bake: A Simple Method
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 8 ounces of fettuccine pasta and cook until al dente, usually about 10-12 minutes. Drain the pasta well and set aside.
While the pasta cooks, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 cup of chopped turkey bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Reduce the heat to low and pour 2 cups of heavy cream into the skillet with the garlic. Stir gently and warm the cream without boiling. Add 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
Return the cooked bacon to the skillet, then add the drained fettuccine. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce and bacon bits.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly with a light golden crust.
Remove the pasta bake from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top for a fresh, herbaceous finish. Serve warm and enjoy the creamy, cheesy goodness with each bite.
- For a lighter sauce, substitute half-and-half or a milk-cream mix, but cook longer to thicken.
- Add vegetables like peas, sun-dried tomatoes, or spinach for seasonal variations and extra nutrition.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze before baking for up to 2 months.
