Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Large skillet or frying pan
  • Wooden Spoon or Silicone Spatula
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Colander
  • Grater

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb chicken breast sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices turkey bacon cooked and crumbled
  • fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 8 oz of fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve about ½ cup of pasta water and drain the rest. Set pasta aside.
  • Place 4 slices of turkey bacon into a cold skillet and cook over medium heat until crispy. Remove, drain on paper towels, and crumble once cooled. Keep the skillet for cooking chicken.
  • Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to the skillet and heat over medium-high. Add sliced chicken breast and season with salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon onion powder. Cook until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  • Lower heat to medium, pour 1 cup heavy cream into skillet. Scrape browned bits with wooden spoon. Stir in 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time if sauce is too thick. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  • Return cooked chicken to skillet and coat with sauce. Add drained fettuccine and toss until evenly coated. Sprinkle crumbled turkey bacon on top and gently mix.
  • Transfer to serving plates, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Always use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for a smoother, more flavorful sauce.
  • Reserve pasta water before draining; it helps loosen the sauce without watering it down.
  • Don’t overcook the chicken to keep it tender and juicy.
  • Cook turkey bacon in the same pan as chicken for extra smoky flavor.
  • Toss pasta with sauce while hot so it clings perfectly.
