Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Foil
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Sharp Knife
  • Measuring Cups

Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent roll dough 8 ounce
  • Chicken salad (or any other filling of your choice)
  • Sprigs of parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures that your Crescent Roll Carrots bake evenly and achieve that perfect golden color.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine your chicken salad or any other filling you prefer. Make sure it’s well mixed and seasoned to your liking.
  • Open the package of crescent roll dough and carefully unroll it. You will find perforated triangles that will shape your carrots. Gently separate the triangles and lay them out on a clean surface.
  • Using a sharp knife, trim the wide end of the triangle to create a more carrot-like shape. Make them as short or long as you prefer.
  • Place a spoonful of your filling at the base of each triangle. Be careful not to overfill, as this can lead to messy baking.
  • Starting from the base, roll the dough up towards the pointed end, ensuring that the filling is tucked inside. This will create a beautiful carrot shape.
  • Lay a piece of foil on your baking sheet, then arrange the rolled crescent carrots on top. This will help them keep their shape while baking and make cleanup easier.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Keep an eye on them, as oven times may vary.
  • Once baked, remove the Crescent Roll Carrots from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish each one with a sprig of parsley for an extra pop of color and flavor. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Do not overfill the dough to prevent bursting during baking.
  • Use non-stick cooking spray on foil to avoid sticking.
  • Freeze unbaked rolls wrapped tightly for up to 3 months; bake from frozen adding a few extra minutes.
