Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Tongs

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken drumettes
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • kosher salt to taste
  • pinch cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken drumettes dry with paper towels and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Drizzle the olive oil over the drumettes and toss with tongs or your hands until evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, onion powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, cayenne, and kosher salt over the chicken and toss until the wings are fully coated with the seasoning.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Arrange the seasoned drumettes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between pieces; cook at 400°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Cook remaining drumettes in batches as needed to avoid overcrowding so they crisp evenly.

Notes

  • Trim excess skin if needed for more even cooking.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer to maintain crispiness.
  • Flip wings halfway for even browning.
