Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds chicken wings trimmed (often referred to as party wings)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for that extra crispiness
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder helps achieve that perfect crunch
  • 1 teaspoon salt to enhance the flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder divided for seasoning and flavor
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter adds richness
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese divided for coating
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning for an aromatic touch
  • 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper optional, for a bit of heat

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature is key to achieving that crispy texture we all love.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken wings, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and ½ teaspoon of garlic powder. Toss until the wings are evenly coated with the mixture.
  • If you have a wire rack, place it on top of a baking sheet. Arrange the wings in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching each other.
  • Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through. You want them to be golden brown and crispy all around.
  • While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, remaining ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper (if using). Mix well to combine.
  • Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven. Immediately toss them in the garlic parmesan sauce until they are well coated.
  • For that extra cheesy goodness, sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of grated parmesan cheese over the wings after tossing them in the sauce.
  • Serve your Crispy Garlic Parmesan Wings hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired. They are perfect on their own or paired with your favorite dipping sauces. Enjoy!
