Equipment

  • Baking dish or sheet
  • Aluminum foil (optional)
  • Small Bowl
  • Whisk or fork
  • tongs or spoon

Ingredients

  • 3 lb chicken leg quarters with skin about 4 leg quarters
  • 4 clove garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish or sheet with aluminum foil if desired and set aside.
  • Arrange the chicken leg quarters in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, honey, dark soy sauce, and white vinegar until well combined.
  • Pour the honey-garlic mixture evenly over the chicken, using tongs or a spoon to coat each piece.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the skin is caramelized and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 165°F (74°C).
  • If you prefer extra-crispy, place the chicken under the broiler for 3–5 minutes, watching closely so it doesn't burn.

Notes

  • Use foil for easier cleanup.
  • Check internal temperature to ensure chicken is cooked through.
  • Broil briefly for extra crispy skin.
