Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Mixing spoon or spatula
  • 9x9-inch baking pan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cooling rack

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter unsalted
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Start by lining your 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, stirring occasionally until melted and slightly bubbling.
  • Add 2 cups brown sugar and 1/2 cup half and half to the melted butter. Stir continuously until combined and boiling. Boil for 1-2 minutes while stirring constantly.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 cup creamy peanut butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until fully melted and blended.
  • Gradually add 3 cups powdered sugar to the mixture, stirring well until thick and smooth fudge batter forms.
  • Pour the fudge mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan and spread with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm. Use the parchment overhang to lift the fudge out and cut into squares.

Notes

  • Measure ingredients precisely for the best texture.
  • Stir continuously when boiling sugar to prevent burning.
  • Let fudge cool slightly before pouring to reduce mess.
  • Use higher fat milk for creamier fudge.
  • Allow fudge to sit at room temperature before cutting for cleaner slices.
