Ingredients

Meatball Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Chicken
  • 1/3 cup Hot Sauce such as Frank’s hot sauce or sriracha
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar or honey
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Wine Vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce use tamari sauce for a gluten-free option
  • 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Green Onions for garnish
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients - Start by gathering all your ingredients. Make sure your ground chicken is fresh and that all your sauces are ready to go. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if you’re planning to bake the meatballs.
  • Step 2: Make the Meatball Mixture - In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. You can use your hands or a fork for this step.
  • Step 3: Form the Meatballs - Once your mixture is ready, use your hands to form small meatballs about 1 inch in diameter. This size is perfect for a bite-sized treat.
  • Step 4: Prepare the Glaze - In a separate bowl, mix together the hot sauce, light brown sugar (or honey), rice vinegar vinegar, and soy sauce. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved and everything is well combined.
  • Step 5: Cook the Meatballs - You can either bake or pan-fry these meatballs. To bake, place them on a lined baking sheet and cook for about 20 minutes or until they’re golden brown and cooked through.
  • Step 6: Coat in Glaze - Once your meatballs are cooked, pour the hot sauce glaze over them in the pan or mixing bowl. Toss gently to coat the meatballs evenly in the sauce.
  • Step 7: Serve and Enjoy - Transfer the glazed meatballs to a serving plate, and garnish with chopped green onions if you like. Serve them warm, and watch them disappear in no time!

Notes

For a healthier option, you can use ground turkey instead of ground chicken. Make sure to taste your glaze and adjust the heat level according to your preference.
