Equipment

  • Serving platter
  • Small Bowl
  • Knife
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • 16 oz roasted red pepper hummus or your favorite flavor for a creamy base
  • 2 tbsp crumbled feta cheese divided for a salty, tangy touch
  • 4 cherry tomatoes or olives for a pop of color and flavor
  • 1 tsp parsley chopped fresh to add a hint of earthiness
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil for drizzling and added richness
  • 3 basil leaves fresh, for garnish and aromatic freshness
  • 3 cups pita chips or fresh veggies for serving and dipping

Instructions

  • Start by spooning your roasted red pepper hummus onto the center of your serving platter. Use the back of a spoon to create a shallow well in the center, making it the perfect spot for your toppings.
  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of crumbled feta cheese over the hummus. This will add a creamy, salty bite that complements the hummus beautifully.
  • Slice your cherry tomatoes in half (or leave the olives whole) and arrange them around the hummus. This not only adds color but also makes it easy for guests to grab a bite.
  • Chop the parsley and sprinkle it over the hummus for a fresh touch. Tear the basil leaves into smaller pieces and place them on top for an aromatic garnish.
  • Finish off the platter by drizzling a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil over the hummus and feta. This adds a rich flavor and enhances the dish's visual appeal.
  • Place your pita chips or an assortment of fresh veggies around the platter for dipping. Carrots, cucumber sticks, and bell pepper slices are all excellent choices.

Notes

  • Use fresh or lightly toasted pita chips for the best texture.
  • Keep toppings simple to avoid overwhelming the platter.
  • Store leftover hummus separately from toppings in airtight containers.
  • Substitute feta with dairy-free cheese to make it vegan-friendly.
  • Prepare toppings ahead but assemble just before serving to maintain freshness.
