Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Large Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Dish
  • Wooden Spoon or Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cheese Grater

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 clove garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Fettuccine

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the 8 oz fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water to adjust sauce consistency later if needed.

Step 2: Sauté the Shrimp

  • In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Alfredo Sauce

  • In the same skillet, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Stir in 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If sauce is too thick, stir in reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Step 4: Combine Pasta, Shrimp, and Sauce

  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked fettuccine with the Alfredo sauce and sautéed shrimp. Make sure the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce.

Step 5: Assemble the Bake

  • Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.

Step 6: Bake to Perfection

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the pasta for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown on top.

Step 7: Garnish and Serve

  • Remove the bake from the oven and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot and enjoy the creamy, garlicky goodness!

Notes

  • Don’t overcook the shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
  • Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency perfectly.
  • Use fresh parsley for the best garnish and flavor, or substitute with basil or chives.
  • Substitute gluten-free pasta to make the dish gluten-free.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
