Ingredients
  

Bread

  • 1 loaf Sourdough or French loaf 16 ounces (900 g)

Butter

  • 1 stick Unsalted butter ½ cup (113 g)

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • ½ cup Green onion sliced
  • ¼ cup Fresh parsley chopped, divided

Cheese

  • 8 ounces Shredded mozzarella or any other melting cheese

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Cut the loaf of bread into a grid-like pattern without cutting all the way through.
  • Step 3: In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in garlic, salt, and half of the parsley.
  • Step 4: In a bowl, combine mozzarella, green onion, and the remaining parsley.
  • Step 5: Drizzle garlic butter into the cuts of the bread and stuff with the cheese mixture.
  • Step 6: Drizzle remaining garlic butter over the top, wrap in foil, and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  • Step 7: Unwrap and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is golden.
  • Step 8: Let cool for a few minutes, sprinkle with remaining parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Use day-old bread for better texture. Experiment with different cheeses and add herbs for flavor.
