Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Serving Dish

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter room temperature
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 12 oz baby spinach
  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Begin by heating your large skillet over medium heat. Add the room temperature unsalted butter, allowing it to melt. Once melted, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and slightly golden, but be careful not to burn it.
  • Add the baby spinach to the skillet in batches if needed. Stir continuously until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy whipping cream and water. Stir to combine, then season with salt and ground black pepper. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. For thicker sauce, simmer longer until desired consistency is reached. Remove from heat.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and serve warm alongside your favorite proteins. Enjoy every creamy, garlicky bite!

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently on low heat, adding a splash of water or cream to loosen the sauce if needed.
  • Freeze for up to 1 month; thaw in refrigerator before reheating.
  • Substitute spinach with kale or Swiss chard for a different flavor.
  • For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream and vegan butter.
