- 1 lb. salmon fillet fresh
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
- 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 3 dashes cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon parsley chopped, for garnish
- lemon sliced, for garnishing
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even cooking and a golden finish on the salmon.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, honey, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined to create the flavorful sauce.
Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat with a little oil. Place the salmon fillet skin-side down and sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden.
Carefully pour the garlic lemon butter sauce over the seared salmon, coating it evenly.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Remove the skillet from the oven and let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and sliced lemon before serving.
- Use wild-caught salmon for richer flavor and firmer texture.
- Allow the salmon to rest after baking to keep it moist and flavorful.
- Adjust cayenne pepper amount to control the heat level to your preference.
- Substitute honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness profile.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat gently to maintain texture.
