Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. salmon fillet fresh
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped, for garnish
  • lemon sliced, for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even cooking and a golden finish on the salmon.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, honey, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined to create the flavorful sauce.
  • Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat with a little oil. Place the salmon fillet skin-side down and sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden.
  • Carefully pour the garlic lemon butter sauce over the seared salmon, coating it evenly.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Remove the skillet from the oven and let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and sliced lemon before serving.

Notes

  • Use wild-caught salmon for richer flavor and firmer texture.
  • Allow the salmon to rest after baking to keep it moist and flavorful.
  • Adjust cayenne pepper amount to control the heat level to your preference.
  • Substitute honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness profile.
