Cuisine American
- 1 ½ - 2 pounds wild-caught salmon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon chopped dill
- 1 clove garlic minced
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions: Herb Butter Salmon
In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, chopped parsley, chopped dill, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot enough to sear the salmon.
Season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving to get crispy skin.
Flip the salmon gently using a spatula, reduce heat to medium, pour herb butter over salmon, and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
Remove salmon from skillet, drizzle remaining herb butter over top, and serve immediately.
- Use dried herbs if fresh are unavailable; reduce quantity to one-third as they are more concentrated.
- Substitute olive oil with avocado oil for a higher smoke point.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months; reheat gently to avoid drying out.
