Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, shortening (or your choice of fat), and vegetable oil.
Using a whisk or spatula, mix the ingredients until they form a smooth, creamy consistency. Ensure there are no lumps for an even application.
Transfer the mixture into an airtight container. This will keep it fresh for your future baking endeavors.
When you’re ready to bake, use a pastry brush or your fingers to apply an even layer of the goop to your cake pans. Make sure to coat the sides and bottom thoroughly.
Notes
For best results, apply the goop to a cold pan before adding batter.
