Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 60g
  • 1/2 cup shortening, butter, or coconut oil 92g, your choice of fat
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil 99g, neutral-flavored oil

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, shortening (or your choice of fat), and vegetable oil.
  • Using a whisk or spatula, mix the ingredients until they form a smooth, creamy consistency. Ensure there are no lumps for an even application.
  • Transfer the mixture into an airtight container. This will keep it fresh for your future baking endeavors.
  • When you’re ready to bake, use a pastry brush or your fingers to apply an even layer of the goop to your cake pans. Make sure to coat the sides and bottom thoroughly.
