Instructions

  • Step 2: Mix the Base. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the buttermilk (or regular milk), sour cream, and mayonnaise. Whisk them together until everything is combined nicely.
  • Step 3: Add the Herbs and Spices. Next, add the fresh dill, parsley, chives, lemon juice, garlic powder, sea salt, onion powder, and black pepper to the bowl. Use a whisk to blend all the ingredients together thoroughly.
  • Step 4: Taste and Adjust. Give your ranch dressing a taste. Adjust the seasoning to suit your taste buds.
  • Step 5: Chill. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Step 6: Serve and Enjoy. After chilling, your ranch dressing is ready to be served. Use it as a dip, a dressing for salads, or drizzled over grilled meats and vegetables.

Notes

For a thinner dressing, simply add more buttermilk or milk until you reach your desired consistency. Fresh herbs enhance the flavor, but dried herbs will work just fine!
