  • 1 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Honey
  • 2 Garlic Cloves finely minced, optional
  • pinch Salt

Instructions

  • Gather your ingredients: 1 cup balsamic vinegar, 1 ½ tablespoons honey, 2 finely minced garlic cloves if using.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, and garlic if using.
  • Place saucepan over medium heat and whisk mixture to combine and dissolve honey into vinegar.
  • Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until reduced by half and syrupy.
  • Remove from heat and let cool; glaze will thicken more as it cools. Transfer to jar or airtight container for storage.

Notes

  • Use high-quality, aged balsamic vinegar for best flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying honey amount or substitute with maple syrup or agave nectar.
  • Store glaze in airtight container in refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze in ice cube trays for longer storage.
  • Stir occasionally during cooking to prevent burning and achieve perfect consistency.
  • Use glaze on roasted vegetables, grilled meats, salads, or as a cheese board accent.
