Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Zip-top Bag or Shallow Dish

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Honey
  • ½ cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, finely minced or pressed
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar or apple cider vinegar vinegar
  • ¾ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon Cayenne powder (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 pounds Chicken thighs or any other chicken parts

Instructions

  • Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients. Make sure you have all your ingredients on hand.
  • Step 2: Mix the Marinade. In a medium bowl, combine the honey and Dijon mustard. Pour in the olive oil, and mix well. Add the minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, salt, paprika, cayenne powder (if using), and black pepper. Whisk everything together until smooth.
  • Step 3: Prepare Your Chicken. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to help the marinade stick better.
  • Step 4: Marinate the Chicken. Place the chicken into a large zip-top bag or a shallow dish. Pour the honey mustard marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Step 5: Cook Your Chicken. Preheat your grill, oven, or skillet. If grilling, cook the chicken over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). If baking, place the marinated chicken on a baking sheet lined with foil and cook at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  • Step 6: Enjoy Your Meal. Once the chicken is fully cooked, let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, marinate the chicken overnight. Use boneless chicken thighs for quicker cooking. Feel free to add more spices or fresh herbs for a different flavor profile.
