Medium-sized saucepan
Wooden Spoon or Spatula
Measuring Spoons
Can opener
- 1 can (16 oz) corn drained
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
Begin by opening the can of corn using your can opener. Pour the corn into a colander to drain any excess liquid.
In a medium-sized saucepan, add the 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Place the saucepan over medium heat and allow the butter to melt completely, making sure it doesn’t brown.
Once the butter has melted, carefully add the drained corn to the saucepan. Stir well to coat the corn evenly with the melted butter.
Sprinkle the 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar over the corn. Stir again to combine.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Start with a pinch and adjust according to your preference. Stir everything together.
Continue to cook the corn over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and steaming hot.
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Transfer the corn to a serving dish and enjoy it warm as a delightful side dish!
