  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C) and position a rack in the center.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment if desired for easier cleanup and place the frozen chicken nuggets on the sheet.
  • In a large bowl or on the baking sheet, combine the vegetable oil, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and ground black pepper.
  • Add the frozen chicken nuggets to the bowl or pour the oil-and-spice mixture over the nuggets on the baking sheet.
  • Toss or gently shake the nuggets until each piece is coated evenly with the oil and spices.
  • Arrange the nuggets in a single layer with space between pieces so hot air can circulate for crisping.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, turning once halfway through if desired, until the nuggets are golden brown and crisp.
  • Remove from the oven and serve hot with your choice of dips or sauces.

Notes

  • Spread nuggets so air can circulate for maximum crispiness.
  • Lightly coating nuggets with oil and spices enhances browning and flavor.
  • Choose higher-quality frozen nuggets when possible for better taste.
  • Use the shiny side of foil on the pan for better browning and easier cleanup.
