How to make Heart Shaped Eggs

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients and tools. Create a clean, organized area in your kitchen to work, ensuring you have everything within reach.
  • Place your non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of cooking oil or butter. Let it heat until the oil is shimmering or the butter is melted and bubbling.
  • Crack your egg into a bowl. If you prefer scrambled eggs, whisk it until the yolk and white are well combined. If you want it sunny-side-up, simply crack it directly into the heart-shaped mold.
  • Once your skillet is hot, carefully place the heart-shaped mold in the center. Make sure it’s secured and won’t tip over.
  • If you’re using a whisked egg, gently pour it into the mold. For a sunny-side-up egg, crack it directly into the mold and let it sit.
  • Allow the egg to cook for a few minutes, watching closely as the edges start to set. If you desire a fully cooked yolk, you can cover the skillet with a lid for a minute to help it cook through more evenly.
  • Once the egg is cooked to your liking, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Carefully remove the heart-shaped mold using tongs or a spatula.
  • Slide the heart-shaped egg onto a plate. Add any optional toppings you've chosen and serve immediately for the best taste and presentation.

Notes

  • Use a non-stick or well-greased mold to prevent the egg from sticking.
  • Cover the skillet briefly to cook the yolk through without flipping.
  • You can make multiple eggs at once using several molds in a larger skillet.
