Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup quinoa rinsed
  • 1 cup water
  • salt optional, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the quinoa under cold water using a fine mesh strainer until the water runs clear to remove bitterness.
  • Transfer the rinsed quinoa to the Instant Pot. Add 1 cup of water (or broth) and salt if desired.
  • Secure the lid and set the valve to "Sealing." Select "Manual" or "Pressure Cook" on high pressure for 1 minute.
  • Allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for about 10 minutes after cooking.
  • Carefully release any remaining pressure by turning the valve to "Venting." Open the lid and fluff the quinoa with a fork before serving.

Notes

  • Rinsing quinoa thoroughly removes saponins and prevents bitterness.
  • Use broth instead of water for extra flavor.
  • Store cooked quinoa in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
