Mini Banana Cream Pie Recipe Cooking Guide
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar. Use a hand mixer to blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Add the instant vanilla pudding and milk to the cream cheese mixture. Mix well until fully incorporated and the mixture thickens slightly.
Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into thin rounds for layering in each mini pie.
Place Mini Nilla Wafers in the bottom of serving dishes or mini pie tins. Add a layer of the cream cheese mixture, then a layer of banana slices. Repeat layers, finishing with cream cheese mixture on top.
Cover the mini pies with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours to allow the filling to set and flavors to meld.
When ready to serve, optionally garnish with additional banana slices or crushed Nilla Wafers.
- Use ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor and best texture in your mini pies.
- To keep bananas from browning, toss slices in lemon juice before layering.
- Prepare the filling ahead and store separately from wafers and bananas for freshness.
- Swap pudding flavors or add toppings like chocolate drizzle or toasted coconut for variety.
- Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days for best quality.
