Ninja Foodi Chicken Tenders

Tender, marinated chicken strips cooked quickly in the Ninja Foodi air crisp setting for a juicy, flavorful weeknight meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 breasts chicken breasts, cut into 1" strips
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/3 cup olive oil, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 2 teaspoons dried oregano, 1 teaspoon ground coriander, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, and 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg until combined.
  • Add the chicken breast strips to the marinade and toss or spoon to coat them evenly.
  • Cover and refrigerate to marinate for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat the Ninja Foodi air crisp basket at 360°F (air crisp) for 5 minutes.
  • Place a single layer of 1-inch chicken strips in the preheated basket, working in batches if needed so pieces do not overlap.
  • Season the top of the chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Cook at 360°F for 5 minutes, flip each strip, then cook another 5 minutes or until cooked through and juices run clear (internal temperature 165°F).
  • Remove the cooked chicken from the Foodi and serve immediately; repeat with remaining batches if necessary.

Notes

  • If chicken pieces are thick, add 1 minute per side.
  • Pound breasts to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
  • This recipe was tested in a 6.5 quart Ninja Foodi.
  • Work in batches so the basket is not overcrowded.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste before cooking.
