Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk the mayonnaise and vegetable oil together until smooth and combined.
Add the buttermilk, grated Romano cheese, crushed dried basil, minced garlic, and salt; whisk until the mixture is evenly blended.
Stir in hot pepper sauce a few drops at a time, tasting and adjusting until you reach your preferred level of heat.
Transfer the dressing to a covered container and refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
Notes
