Measuring cup
- 7 Oreo cookies
- 1/3 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- Optional toppings: whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or extra Oreos
Place the 7 Oreo cookies in your microwave-safe mug. Use a spoon to crush them into fine crumbs, leaving some chunks if you prefer texture.
Pour in 1/3 cup of milk (dairy or plant-based). Stir until the Oreo crumbs are fully combined with the milk.
Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder. Mix well to combine.
Microwave the mug on high for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. The cake should rise and appear set when done.
Carefully remove the mug from the microwave and let it cool for a minute or two.
Top your cake with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or crushed Oreos as desired. Enjoy immediately!
- Use a microwave-safe mug large enough to allow the cake to rise without spilling.
- Start with 1 minute and 30 seconds cooking time and adjust based on your microwave wattage to avoid overcooking.
- Pre-crushing Oreos and measuring ingredients ahead can speed up prep.
- Try seasonal variations like adding peppermint extract or pumpkin pie spice for flavor boosts.
- Store leftover mug cake in the refrigerator for up to one day, but best enjoyed fresh.
