Total Time 2 hours hrs 30 minutes mins
- 30 Oreos not double stuffed
- 6 tablespoons salted butter room temperature
- 1 cup salted butter melted
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter divided
- 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
Stepwise Method: Oreo Peanut Butter Bars
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush the 30 Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin and ziplock bag. Combine the Oreo crumbs with 6 tablespoons of room temperature salted butter in a mixing bowl and mix until the mixture resembles wet sand.
Lightly grease your 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter. Press the Oreo mixture firmly into the bottom of the dish to create an even, tightly packed layer.
In a separate bowl, combine the melted salted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and 1 cup of creamy peanut butter. Mix until smooth and well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the Oreo crust in the baking dish.
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Remove from microwave and stir in the remaining ½ cup of creamy peanut butter until fully incorporated. Pour this chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the bars are firm and set.
Remove the bars from the refrigerator and cut into squares or rectangles. Serve chilled or at room temperature and enjoy.
- Refrigerate bars in an airtight container for up to one week to keep fresh.
- Freeze bars for up to 3 months; thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
- Use crunchy peanut butter for added texture variation.
- Substitute graham cracker crumbs with almond flour for a gluten-free option.
- Use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet or milk chocolate for a richer flavor and healthier alternative.
